My Oracle Deck is now Available for Purchase!

Boy oh boy has it been a long road to get here, but my deck is finally available and ready to ship! You will notice that I now have a “shop” tab on the menu bar. It’s ready when you are!

Although the Kickstarter did not reach it’s funding goal, I was able to purchase a limited run of decks for sale. Once those decks are sold out, my hope is to perhaps invest in a larger run. We’ll see how it goes. But for now, I am just so happy to see this deck made into reality. I have been working on it for three years. I do plan to start working on another oracle deck sometime during 2022.

You may have also noticed that I have closed my Etsy shop. I have been a long time seller and buyer on Etsy. I have many beautiful and favorite things in my home that I have bought from Etsy over the years. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am such a lover of all things handmade.

That being said, Etsy has changed a lot from it’s early days. In some ways it’s become a victim of its own success. Etsy used to be my go-to place to buy handmade, but not anymore. A lot of things are drop shipped from overseas or even purchased directly from Amazon but then sold at a huge markup. Whenever I find something I’d liked to buy on etsy, I’ve started checking for the same item on Amazon. More often than not now, I’m finding the same exact item on Amazon. After a while it really started to feel more like a scam than helping out another small business. I simply didn’t want my products to be associated with that anymore.

As you can see there’s only a few items in my shop currently, but it is my goal for 2022 to keep adding more. In a world where it seems like everything is made in China now and everything is really poor quality, I want to have a shop where items are truly handmade and made with integrity. In a lot of ways I’m doing it for myself, but I figure I can’t be the only one out there whose frustrated by the complete absence in quality these days.

So, check it out! Buy a deck! Let me know what you think!
