A new year means new things! Although I loved my Shadowscapes cards, they were getting really worn out and it was time to buy a new deck. I am now using the Mystical Dream Tarot. If you read the post I did on the 10 most beautiful decks you can buy right now, then you may not have expected me to choose the Mystical Dream Tarot. And honestly, if you read reviews for this deck, people either love it or hate it. I don’t know what it was, but I kept being called back to this deck, so I finally bit the bullet and bought it.
This deck has different meanings for the cards than what we’re used to from a traditional Rider Waite Smith deck. Many of the names of the cards have even been changed. This is because the deck creator, Janet Piedilato, would go into a trance state and meditate on each card and it’s true meaning. Hence the name, Mystical Dream Tarot. Although I would normally not go for something like that, I find her reinterpretations to be more accurate than the traditional meanings.
Because Piedilato essentially recreated the Tarot with this deck, it did mean relearning tarot to some extent. I used the same system I outline in the free E-book I give out when you sign up for my newsletter “21 Easy Steps to Master the Tarot” and I was good within a month.
You will also notice I’m using a new oracle deck as well. It is the “Vintage Wisdom Oracle” and I’ve actually owned it for many years. I’ve always considered that oracle deck to be spooky-accurate and there are three cards in that deck in particular where if they show up it’s like “Get ready for a crazy month!” You just might be abducted by aliens or have a kundalini awakening! So I figured why not start using it for my videos?
I’ve linked to all the youtube videos below. If you are viewing this post via the newsletter and the images aren’t showing up for you, you’re going to want to add the newsletter to your contacts so the images show up. Enjoy!
