I have a very special announcement today as I have welcomed a new kitty into my life! I adopted a kitten at the local shelter where I volunteer, which was a really great opportunity because it meant I was able to play and bond with her until she was old enough to be adopted. After a lot of debate we have decided to name her Gemini! And yes, she was born under the sign of Gemini 🙂
Gemini has been in our home for about a week now and is already fully integrated into our family. She has also sat in on some mediumship and tarot sessions which I find very important for her development.
One of my dreams is to eventually get Gemini certified as a therapy cat and then volunteer with her at nursing homes and rehabs. This was something I had really wanted to do with my old cat Trixie, but leash training is a requirement of the certification and I wasn’t successful at doing that with Trixie. I’m hoping if I start leash training as a kitten that I will be successful with Gemini, but only time will tell if she has the right temperament for volunteer work.
