Every one of us has a team of spiritual guides or protectors that are here to help us accomplish our life’s mission. At a minimum, we all have a Master guide, a guardian angel, and of course, our Higher Self. There are however other guides that can come in and out of our lives depending on our needs at the time. For instance, we can be sure that anyone watching this video also has a guide that specializes in intuitive development. You probably have a guide that’s helping you with your career, or relationships, or really anything that you might be struggling with or that’s really important to you. So far I have met 6 of my guides.
I know there’s a lot of people out there thinking that if they could only have the right teacher then they could really develop their psychic or mediumship abilities to a phenomenal level. And that’s why learning how to communicate and work with your guides is so important! Your Guides are expert and enthusiastic teachers that are always available and don’t cost anything to work with. Learning how to work with your Guides will immediately level-up your abilities. And once you’ve accomplished it, there’s really nothing keeping you from developing your abilities in any direction you choose.
So let’s talk about these guides. Your team of Spirit Guides could be made up of angels, ascended masters, ancestors, people you know who have died, or people who have lived before but you never knew them in this lifetime. Your team, especially the most important members, have probably never been human, but what we do here on Earth during this lifetime is so important that these higher order beings exist just to help us along. Each and every one of us is that important.
Now I do think that if us humans have evolved quite a bit that we could become someone’s guide either while we are inbetween lifetimes or if we have completely finished our time here on earth. Becoming a Spirit Guide does seem to be the next step as our soul evolves. What’s really cool about this is that when this happens your first assignment is to actually be your own spirit guide, and that is known as the higher self.
So the higher self is the fully evolved version of you that is able to give you very special guidance as someone who knows your past and future. You might wonder how you are able to interact with your future self. Well, time is different on the other side. According to physicists, time doesn’t even exist. Everything is happening at the same time, and that certainly seems to be the case for higher order beings like your future evolved self.
When I interact with the higher self, it’s interesting for me to note what personality traits are the same and which are different. It’s actually really nice to have this kind of comparison because it shows you parts of yourself that either still need to be healed or that have already been healed. Your higher self can help you do that healing and continue to progress.
Spirit guides are here to help us and they are what we are ultimately evolving into. This is a concept that exists in many cultures. In Christianity they are called Saints. In Buddhism they are called Arhats or Bodhisattvas. In fact, in doing my own research into this, saints or spirit guides seem to exist in just about every religion across the planet. These are human beings that have transcended their own humanity through goodness and are now here to help us do the same.
It is speculated that just as we are on a journey, spirit guides have their own journey and they seem to need those opportunities to help us as part of their own learning and their own evolution. So you really shouldn’t feel guilty about reaching out to them for anything. If it’s important to you it’s important to your spirit guides. They’re helping you. You’re helping them.
Now, If you want to have direct conversational communication with your spirit guide, you first need to learn how to contact them. The most common way to do that is through guided meditation. I have created a guided meditation for doing this and I’ll have it linked at the end, so don’t worry about that right now. Don’t worry you won’t miss it. I’ll have it ready for you at the end.
When I was first trying to learn how to contact my spirit guides, I actually had to do the guided meditation a few times. I would see my guide but not be able to hear him at all. If this is the case for you, just keep trying it. Eventually it will click and it is so worth it once it does. Do the guided meditation a few times and I’m sure you’ll be able to open up a dialogue. These are beings that WANT to communicate with you, so they will help to fill any gaps as needed to help you along. Once you get comfortable communicating with them, you will find that it will get easier and easier over time and you wont need to do the meditation anymore.
Now, it is very likely that your guides have already been communicating with you through synchronicities, coincidences, or things like angel numbers. If something stands out to you, pay attention to it, it might be a message. So even though I’m able to have conversations with my guides, they will still communicate with me during the day using synchronicities. I can give you an example. Summer of 2020, me and my husband had decided to sell our house in the city and move out here to the country. We were trying to decide if we should sell that fall or wait until the following spring. We met with a couple of realtors that were strongly urging us to list in the fall. However my tarot cards were telling me the fall would be good, but the spring would be even better. While me and my husband were talking it over, my desk calendar fell off my desk and landed on the date March 15th. So we decided to list in March.
It sounds crazy to make big financial decisions that way, but it paid off for us. The housing market was really good in the fall, but it was even better in March. March 15th was actually the date we accepted an offer on our house and it was a really good offer. I know a lot of people think that financial stuff is beneath spirit guides, but not in my experience. I think the important thing to remember here is that money is a tool that allows you to accomplish things. It’s going to affect your life and what you can do with it. Our guides want us to be happy and money can be part of that equation.
So spirit guides are happy to help us with all sorts of things: money, career, relationships. Spirit guides will even step in to save our life. I talked about a big time they did that for me in the first video in this series, but another one happened when my spirit guides stepped in to save my husband’s life. We were going to cross the street and a car went flying around a blind corner and would have struck and killed my husband but just before he stepped out into the street, my arm went out and prevented him from stepping forward. This all happened so fast, my arm moved out before the car was even in view and was done without my conscious control. So yes, a spirit guide took control of my body.

Do spirit guides know the future? Of course they do! Will they tell you what’s going to happen in your future? Absolutely! Here’s the thing though; the future is not written in stone. There aren’t these hard absolutes, but there is a sense of flow. Do we get to make choices along the way? Of course. That’s the whole point of our guides. Do I list my house in the Fall or next Spring? That was a choice I got to make. Because my guides understood my goal with that, they stepped in and guided me in the direction I wanted to go.
When I was first introduced to the concept of spirit guides, I was very skeptical and immediately dismissed it. When I heard other peoples stories of their spirit guides it just sounded kind of goofy to me. But as I advanced in my own intuitive development, they just more and more demanded to be heard. And it got to a point where I just couldn’t deny them anymore. If you want to advance as a psychic or a medium, you have to work with your guides.
If you’ve watched my other videos you know that I was born with the ability to see spirits. Now spirit guides are a little bit different because they don’t usually hang out in this dimension with us, and if they’re not here in the room, I’m not going to see them. Well, a spirit guide I now know to be my master guide, started coming around in this dimension. And he looked different. He didn’t look like a ghost, he didn’t look like an angel. He looked important, and I became curious. Learning to open up communication with him then became a major part of my spiritual journey and intuitive development.
The first guide you meet will probably be your master guide. Your master guide will be with you throughout all your lifetimes. And they will choose an appearance that they think will work well with you. So your guide may look like a shaman, an old sage, somekind of guru, maybe even an animal or perhaps an alien. It’s also not uncommon for guides to have a corny sense of humor. I’ve noticed they like to use word puns. They also have a tendency to simplify things. A lot of times it seems like they can’t understand why we get so obsessed with things or concerned about the future. They just want us to trust and relax. Take it slow. We’re doing really important work here on Earth, but don’t take things too seriously or try to rush past the lessons.
So how do you know what you’re experiencing is real or just your imagination? One of my favorite things to ask my spirit guides is to send me proof. Send me proof that this conversation was real. Send me proof that I’m on the right path. Materialize things here in the real world to prove to me that you are real. I was going for a walk just the other day and saw a branch on my path ahead of me that looked like a rune. I looked up the meaning of that rune and the meaning was “you are on the right path”. And there it was, on my path. So ask and ye shall receive.
Another thing you can do is ask questions that you don’t know the answer to. I used to ask my guides what the next song was going to be on pandora. They would then play me a short clip of the song in my mind, and sure enough that would be the next song I would hear.
Now it’s even better if you ask questions you don’t know the answer to but that are important to you for your development. I met someone just the other day who told me that he’s been fired from every job he’s ever had. He was a real nice guy and seemed very smart, it was hard to imagine why that kept happening. But I bet his spirit guides know and are dying to tell him. Talk with your spirit guides. They will make your life so much easier.
Once you start meeting with your guides and asking questions, you’ll find that all of your guides will try to help you and will give you guidance when asked, but the best advice will come from the guide that is there specifically to help you with that problem. So, for instance, if you are having relationship issues and you ask your intuitive development guide for help, she’ll give you pretty good advice. This is a higher order being after all. However, if you ask the same question to your relationship guide, the advice you’ll get from him will be so profound you might even start crying. And for me I take moments like that as proof in and of itself that guides exist, because I know that wisdom that profound couldn’t have come from me. If it did, I wouldn’t have been having all these problems in the first place.
