“From Trauma to Tarot” is a description of a journey; mine and possibly yours. After working for years with all kinds of Healers, I realized something was still missing: my voice. I couldn’t consider myself healed from trauma if my predominant way of being was still to try to be as invisible as possible. That was something I learned from trauma, but I didn’t want to be that way anymore. So I leaned in and started this blog.
I wasn’t going to hide anymore. I was going to be heard. And Gasp! What would the neighbors think! Tarot cards? Communicating with Spirits? This is who I have been since I was a little girl. Trying to hide and shape myself into an “acceptable” version just made me miserable. It made me sick with autoimmune diseases. But what if instead I recognized my difference as a gift? As a way to help others?
All anyone knows is the path they’ve walked. You can’t know anything else. And so I freely share that which has helped me in my healing journey: Simple living and Spirituality. Are there other paths to healing? Of course! But this is the path I know and thus the only one I can share.
